Dr. Christina Gamboa is a Boise native and member of the local Basque community. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, and earned her medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington. She completed her residency in radiation oncology at the Stephenson Cancer Center at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dr. Gamboa has formal training in the use of different radiation therapy treatment modalities, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and radiation therapy (SRT), high-dose rate (HDR) and low-dose rate (LDR) brachytherapy, intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT), and the use of unsealed sources. She is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), American College of Radiology (ACR), and American Brachytherapy Society (ABS), and has previously been named a Top Doctor in Oklahoma City. Dr. Gamboa is currently board-eligible.
