Dr. Ernest Dytiapco is a California native who spent much of his youth in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He completed his B.S. Chemistry degree at the University of New Mexico in 2007 and graduated Summa cum laude. He continued on at UNM to earn his Medical degree in 2011. He finished residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Washington-Boise in 2015 where he was not only, the Resident of the Year but also elected to the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Dytiapco completed his Fellowship in Nephrology at University of California-Davis in 2017 and was award the distinguished title of Fellow of the Year.
Dr. D, as he is commonly called by his patients, enjoys all aspects of consultative nephrology care including electrolyte imbalance, blood pressure management, kidney transplantation, and management of advanced kidney disease with or without dialysis. Dr. D values the relationship he is able to build with his patients and their caregivers through this continuum of care.
Dr. Dytiapco is thrilled to move back to the Treasure Valley as he discovered the joys of living here during his residency. He enjoys the music of yesteryear, and plays the guitar and the piano. During the warm months, Dr. Dytiapco enjoys leisurely domestic travel, practices swinging irons in the driving range, and enjoys bicycling. In the cooler seasons, he tries to break 100 at the bowling alley.
