Dr. John Gamboa is a Boise native and a member of the local Basque community. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Creighton University in Omaha, NE, and later received his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, UT. He completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. Dr. Gamboa is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Washington.
Dr. Gamboa has more than twenty years of experience in the field and an extensive knowledge of different radiation therapy treatment modalities, including intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), stereotactic radiosurgery and radiation therapy, brachytherapy, and intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT). He has previously been selected by his peers to appear in Best Doctors in America and is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) and the American College of Radiology (ACR).
