Physician Biography
Dr. Mark Rasmus was raised in New York. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and a medical degree from St. George University School of Medicine.
Dr. Rasmus completed a residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Albany Medical Center. While spending time at National Jewish Health, a hospital in Denver, he decided to further his training in pulmonary, critical care, and ultimately sleep medicine.
He completed a combined Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship at the University of Utah and a Sleep Medicine fellowship at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Dr. Rasmus said he chose sleep medicine because “…people are very aware of their sleep disorders and it’s life-changing when you can fix their problems.”
Dr. Rasmus met his beautiful wife, Romy, in Boise, while both were working at a local hospital. She is a registered nurse. They have two adorable children, daughter Tanzen and son Isaac.
As a family, they enjoy mountain biking, skiing, going to their cabin, cooking, and traveling.
