Dr. Mark Rasmus was raised in the great state of New York. He graduated high school in New York and then decided to obtain his bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and even further his education and earn his medical degree from St. George University School of Medicine. Dr. Rasmus, completed a residency in internal medicine and pediatrics, as he initially aspired to be a rural primary care physician. After spending some time at National Jewish in Denver he decided to further his training in pulmonary, critical care and finally sleep medicine. Dr. Rasmus said that the reason he wanted to go into sleep medicine was because “…people are very aware of their sleep disorders and its life changing when you can fix their problems.” Dr. Rasmus met his beautiful wife, Romy, in Boise, Idaho while both were working at the hospital. She too practices medicine as a certified nurse. Romy and Dr. Rasmus have two adorable children, his daughter Tenzen and son Isaac. As a family they enjoy mountain biking, skiing, going to their cabin, cooking and traveling. Dr. Rasmus is a dedicated physician and father.
