Dr. Gibson joined the Digestive Health Clinic in 1990. He is originally from South Dakota where he attended the University of South Dakota for both undergraduate training and medical school. He also completed one year of biochemistry research prior to medical school. His postgraduate training was obtained at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. This included three years of internal medicine residency and a two year fellowship in gastroenterology. In addition to his formal training, he worked two years as a staff physician in a trauma-emergency center. Dr. Gibson is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology and a member of the American College of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Gibson is married and the father of four girls. He enjoys biking, skiing, and golfing. He is active in hospital committee work and community service.
