Physician Biography

Dr. Svetlana Meier is a Board Certified Rheumatologist. Born in Resekne, Latvia, she completed medical school at Riga Stradins University in Riga, Latvia. Dr. Meier completed her internship and residency at the University of Wisconsin/Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Meier completed her fellowship training in Rheumatology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. She has also completed specialized training in the area of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound. In June of 2011, Dr. Meier re-located to Boise, Idaho to join Idaho Arthritis Center. She lives here with her husband, two sons and daughter. Dr. Meier was attracted to the quality of life and opportunities for outdoor recreation that the Boise community provides.
