Billy Galligar, MD

Physician Biography

Dr. Galligar is native to Idaho & grew up in the Fruitland area. After serving time in the USMC, he attended Treasure Valley Community College & Boise State University while also working with a local hospice agency. He later attended Medical School at the University of Washington with an emphasis on Rural & Primary Care training. He attended Family Medicine Residency in Boise and completed a Hospice & Palliative Medicine Fellowship in San Diego at UCSD/Scripps. Dr. Galligar is one of three physicians in the Treasure Valley who have completed the Hospice & Palliative Medicine Fellowship. Dr. Galligar is currently on the Palliative team at St. Alphonsus in Boise and the Boise V.A. Dr. Galligar chose to bring Ancora Health Services to the Treasure Valley to provide a locally owned & operated healthcare agency where trust, compassion, & support are provided to our local family and friends & quality care is the number one priority.
