Physician Biography

Dr. Luke O’Rourke comes to us from Eugene, OR, where he practiced for over 7 years, prior to deciding to move with his wife and two children to Idaho Falls.

For the past three years, he has served as Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as, Physician Practice Leader in a large Multi-specialty Practice, Oregon Medical Group. Dr. O’Rourke earned a Medical Degree for the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Des Moines University in Iowa and completed his OB/GYN Residency at Aurora Healthcare in Milwaukee, WI, in 2014.

As an Osteopathic Physician, Dr. O’Rourke uses a holistic approach to patient care, focusing on both the body and mind. Additionally, he has extra training in the musculoskeletal system and has spent several years treating patients utilizing Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM).

Dr. O’Rourke’s areas of medical interest include high-risk obstetrics and minimally-invasive surgery, including the use of the Intuitive da Vinci Robotic-assisted surgery system.

Dr. O’Rourke specializes in Gynecologic Robotic Surgery and has performed hundreds of highly complex surgeries for conditions such as endometriosis and large uterine fibroids.
