Physician Biography
Dr. Mike Neilson specializes in sports medicine, treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries for patients of all ages. His practice includes use of diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound guided injections. As a three-sport high school athlete, former collegiate football player, and fellowship trained sports medicine physician, he has lifelong experience with sports injuries and the importance of a safe and fast recovery.
During fellowship, Dr. Neilson was one of the team physicians for athletes at Utah Valley University and Brigham Young University. He helped provide medical coverage for football, basketball, soccer, as well as a number of other sports. He was also involved in high school football, the Utah high school state wrestling tournament, the St George Ironman, and ski clinic coverage in Park City, Utah.
In his spare time, Dr. Neilson enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 kids, including exploring the beautiful state of Idaho. He also enjoys weightlifting, playing any type of sport, playing board games and video games with his friends and family.
